Production diary
In this I will document what I do during the production of the magazine I decided to make for my blog.
6.3 - Planning Production 3/12/26
To start my magazine, I had to pre plan what I wanted and make a layout which we had to do over spring break and some of class to finish and it took me a bit to find the necessary items, but I got it eventually and finished and looking at these other magazines really inspired me to try hard on my project and make it look like something others would read and enjoy.
Pre-production 4/8/26
For this I was simply adding little things of what my project or magazine would look like and include I was going to other cooking magazines and taking samples from them to make what I have now have more of an idea what I am making.
Project updating 4/9/26
I am mostly lost looking at a research and trying to design my layout for the next blog check and fixing and updating my website to make it look more presentable since I haven't really been adding things to the blog but I am still updating my magazine with pictures and customizing it.
More updating 4/15/26
jMy project is coming together slowly and I don't really have much inspiration while making my magazine and its not really coming together how I want it to and its really frustrating but I am going to keep adjusting things still I find a way I like.
Almost done 4/19/26
I am finished with my ingredients and instructions for my contents page and am finding different spots for the text and where to put the pictures which I had to change every few tries because I didn't like how they looked on my magazine, so I switched them a lot and I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome.
Finishing and cleaning up my project 4/22/26
I finally finished my featchered page after A LOT of research on culinary magazines and the fun facts about them. During this magazine prep I was compleately confused and wondered how I was going to do this but after I watched the tutorials I realized that it was actually quite easy and not hard at all, it was definitely fun to customize my magazine and looking at all the different recipes I could use also made me a bit hungry while creating it but after a lot of questions and struggling I managed to make an almost decent magazine about Jamaican recipes that I personally think is awesome.
